The Personnel Center has several high quality products that will assist you in implementing successful recruitment and retention programs in your state, region, or local district. These products and materials are available to you for reproduction at your own cost.

This set of high-quality, colorful brochures, a web address card and poster can be used in a variety of settings to recruit persons to the field of special education teaching. If you are interested in receiving these products in a Quark file that is camera ready to take to your printer, please contact us and we will be happy to customize the contact information on it and send it to you.

"One Child At a Time” is an outstanding recruitment video focusing on recruiting persons from underrepresented populations to professions in special education and the related services. It is currently being distributed to all school districts in the state of California (read more) for use in recruiting young people from diverse backgrounds to the field.

Here are five professionally produced Public Service Announcements that your state, region or local school district may be interested in reproducing to air on local television stations to recruit persons to the field of special education and the related services. Contact the Personnel Center and find out how you can obtain one or more to use in your recruitment initiatives. These high-quality media products focus on mid-career changers, rural and urban settings and the unique attributes of persons who pursue these professions. One is presented in Spanish and all five are closed captioned for persons who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Three states ­ CA (read more), TN, and VA - are currently using these PSAs in statewide campaigns to recruit persons to their personnel preparation programs.

This set of 15 news articles, professionally produced and distributed to thousands of newspapers nationwide, present information about special education and related service careers in one and two column formats that can be sent directly to your local newspaper(s) to assist in your recruitment campaign. They have been printed in thousands of papers nationwide, including the New York Times, the Houston Chronicle and the San Francisco Examiner. They are in camera-ready format and include graphics that illustrate each of the issues discussed.
